  • A crown is a like a ‘helmet’ that fits over a broken, cracked or weakened tooth to restore its shape, appearance and strength.

Crowns can be a great option for restoring an otherwise sick or damaged tooth - allowing you to eat, speak, and retain a full smile.

Yule has trained in CEREC and chairside CAD/CAM technology, which allows him to design and mill crowns in the clinic.

For patients, that means fewer appointments, and less waiting from start to finish.

  • Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of teeth to change their colour, shape, or overall appearance.

They can be made of different materials, such as porcelain or composite. Each of these have different durability and affordability.

Please book in and discuss which option might best suit your needs.

  • Teeth whitening uses a bleaching agent to break down any stains that have built up on the surface through the wear and tear of everyday life.

There are many different options for whitening teeth, including in-chair whitening or take-home whitening kits.

They each have their pros and cons, and Yule can talk you through the different options available for your circumstances.

  • While our teeth are remarkably resilient, dental decay (also known as ‘cavities’) can occur when bacteria in the mouth produce acid that breaks down the tooth’s surface.

Decay often starts in hard to reach areas, and is tiny and tucked away in its early stages. A regular examination, alongside dental x-rays, helps us catch any changes of early decay before it starts causing problems.

A filling removes the damaged areas of a tooth, gives it a good clean out, and seals it back up.

The dental filling is finally carefully crafted in colour and shape, to blend naturally with the surrounding teeth.

  • Every tooth has a ‘root canal’ - a hollow space inside the core of a tooth that carries the nerve and blood supply.

When dental decay reaches this space, the nerve can become infected and painful.

A root canal treatment removes the infected tissue from inside the tooth, cleans and disinfects the space, and seals it to prevent further infection.

Finally, after root canal treatment, a filling or crown is placed over the tooth to protect and strengthen it.

Like repairing a leaky pipe inside a wall - once the pipe is fixed, the wall needs to be patched and sealed to complete the job.
